Andy Fegley, MPA

Chief Executive Officer


Andy Fegley joined MAR in March 2014.  Prior to MAR, Fegley was the Government Affairs Director for the 18,000 members of the Scottsdale Area and SouthEast Valley Regional Associations of REALTORS® in Arizona.  


For more than a decade, Fegley has worked with large trade associations developing and implementing programs geared toward creating the ideal environment for members to succeed.  His work in government and political affairs is nationally recognized as cutting edge and effective. 


Fegley holds a Bachelor's in Philosophy and Master's in Public Administration.  He and his wife have three children.  

Mary Anne Heffernan

Operations Manager/Professional Standards Administrator


Mary Anne Heffernan joined MAR in 2005.  She was born and raised in Marin. She has a Bachelors Degree from Sonoma State and a teaching credential from Dominican College. Before coming to MAR, she spent 20+ years in the gift industry and most recently worked as a trade show manager and events planner.


Mary Anne works with leadership and staff to develop and implement the many events, programs and activities for MAR's members, manages the web site, as well as managing daily operations.  She is certified by the California Association of REALTORS® to be MAR’s official professional standards administrator and trainer.  Mary Anne received her administrator certification in January, 2007 and is one of two people to have ever scored a 100% on the final exam.

Donna Lahey
SUPRA Liaison/Member Services Department/ Marketing Assistant

Donna is the newest MAR staff member. She joined the staff in 2012.  Donna is the contact for any issues or questions concerning lockbox keys and boxes, and assists members with their questions about transfers, Marin Reports, etc. Donna has over 5 years of diverse administrative and customer service experience.

BettyRuth Madsen
Executive Assistant


BettyRuth joined MAR in 1990. She attended College of Marin and Merced College. In addition to assisting MAR’s CEO and operations manager, BettyRuth writes the weekly MAR Update, maintains MAR’s historical records and photos and provides committee support.


Terry McEllistrim
Membership Director/GAD Assistant 


Terry joined MAR in July of 2006. She is the contact for any issues or questions concerning Membership. Terry has more than 20 years of diverse administrative experience, and prides herself on providing the highest level of customer service promptly and proficiently.


Deborah Stone
Front Desk/Store Administrator

Deborah Stone has been at MAR since 2003. She comes to us from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School campus in San Francisco where she worked in admissions. She is our front desk and MAR store coordinator. Her duties at MAR include handling the phones, greeting and answering questions for our REALTOR® members who stop by the office, ordering and selling REALTOR® products for the MAR store, as well as ordering and distributing CAR forms for our member offices.
