Course Description
Understanding the laws regarding assistance animals can keep you and your clients out of trouble! Whether you are the property manager, or your clients are owners, tenants, buyers or sellers of single family homes, apartment buildings or Common Interest Developments (CID) properties, reasonable accommodations are required for assistance animals.
In this three (3) hour course you'll gain a working knowledge of the federal and state fair housing and other anti-discrimination laws regarding assistance animals and the rights and obligations of the home owner associations, the individual unit owners, the landlords and their tenants. Learn when it is ok to ask for a doctor’s prescription.
Course Objectives:
As the laws become more complicated and the needs for service and comfort animals increase don’t lose your share of the housing market because you don’t know the law!
