Become a Member

The managing broker in your office determines whether or not they wish to hold membership in a REALTOR® Association. When he or she elects to hold membership as a REALTOR® Office, you are also eligible to hold REALTOR® membership. If you elect not to hold REALTOR® membership, the Designated REALTOR® in your office will be assessed a fee for every non-member licensee in the office. We strongly suggest that you speak directly with your managing broker about REALTOR® membership.

REALTOR® membership is three-tiered. With membership in MAR, members also belong to California Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.

Types of Membership

An individual who is not a sole proprietor, principal partner, corporate officer or in positions of management control, and is associated with the office of a Designated REALTOR® Member. REALTOR® Members are subject to the payment of annual dues.
