Affiliate Committee
Works to create opportunities for affiliate members to interact with REALTOR® members in a meaningful way showing value of being an affiliate member of MAR. The committee is also tasked with planning and implementing community outreach events throughout Marin County.

Benefits Committee
Reviews and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors concerning the health and other benefits provided to MAR staff; annually reviews and reaffirms provisions of MAR’s governance policies, subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.

Budget & Finance Committee
Works with the CEO to prepare annual balanced budgets and consider spending requests not covered by the budget. The committee receives and reviews detailed financial reports from the MAR staff which include an analysis of the required vs. actual reserves, monthly membership counts and updates concerning the collection of NAR, CAR and MAR dues.

Communications Advisory Committee
The committee is to serve in an advisory capacity to assist in meeting the overall communications and marketing objectives of MAR. The committee provides guidance for media relations,, various online communications vehicles, and Association-wide marketing and communications programs. The committee reports to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

Executive Committee 
The committee, which is comprised of the five officers of the association and the CEO, meets prior to each board meeting and as needed to discuss issues and topics important to MAR members and the association.

Government Affairs Committee
Provides timely and objective advice to the Board of Directors about the advocacy of local government issues and proposed legislation that will impact REALTORS® and Marin communities. The committee also interviews advocates and opponents of local ballot initiatives, and then sends recommendations to the trustees of MAR’s Issues Mobilization Political Action Committee on which measures to support, oppose or abstain from taking positions.

Local Candidate Recommendation Committee
Responsible for interviewing and making recommendations to the Board of Directors about which local political candidates the association should endorse and support. Candidates are backed based on their positions on issues that are important to the Marin REALTOR® community. As needed, the committee interviews candidates for the state Assembly, state Senate and U.S. Congress, then recommends to the Board of Directors which candidates to recommend that CREPAC support and endorse.

Professional Development Committee
Schedules high-quality events and activities to help members improve their skills, professionalism, effectiveness and personal success. This is achieved through a variety of seminars, workshops, classes and general membership meetings.
