Tiburon COVID-19 Resale Inspections
Tiburon is now able to temporarily preform a virtual resale inspection. The city will return to in person inspections once the shelter in place is lifted. Currently, they are only able to complete inspections through Apple’s FaceTime and anyone requesting an inspection would need to have a FaceTime accessible device. In order to complete the inspection, you must be available to give a video tour of the property with the city inspector. You would need to walk through each room of the inside the property, show the exterior of the property, and enter and show crawl spaces. The inspector may have you focus in closer on some items in order to inspect them as you go through the property.
If you would like to proceed with a FaceTime Resale inspection, please schedule with Tiburn's Permit Clerk, Chelsee. You can email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. She is keeping track of requested inspections and routing them to our inspector as we work remotely. If you have not yet applied for a resale inspection, you may print the application (https://www.townoftiburon.org/DocumentCenter/View/996/Residential-Building-Resale-Inspection-RBR-Application-Form) and mail it along with a check for $250.00 to Tiburon Town Hall, attention Building Division at 1505 Tiburon Blvd Tiburon, CA 94920.
The city plans on reaching out to the contact of each inspection in order of when they were scheduled to schedule a new date and time once the process is in order. If the property has already had the primary resale inspection and it is nearing the 30 days of new ownership for any resale inspection mandatory corrections they will be adjusting all expiration time limits accordingly to account for their closure.
