PG&E Planned Power Shutoff: October 9th

Published Tuesday, October 8, 2019
  • PGE has announced a Public Safety Power Shutoff starting at 4:00 am on October 9th for several communities in Marin.
  • This is in response to high temperatures, Red Flag condition and high winds.
  • As of 5:30 PM on Tuesday, October 8th, power was not expected to be shut off in San Rafael. The MAR office will be open from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, and from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm to serve our members.
  • In the event that power is shut down at the MAR office, we will be unable to serve our members and will resume service during normal business hours once power is restored.
    • Please monitor the MAR website and Facebook page for office closing / reopening announcements.
  • For more information on the power safety shutoff, please visit our Wildfire Resources page. We will be keeping this page updated with the latest information from PG&E and county officials as we receive it.
