Meet the 2021 Marin REALTORS® Award Winners

 

Affiliate of the Year: Adrianne Peixotto

Adrianne has been extremely helpful to the REALTOR® community, including making informative presentations to the Government Affairs Committee.

 

Making a Difference Award: Anna Frost

Anna has served on the Government Affairs Committee since 2018 and served this year as Chair. She is appreciated for her years of intelligent, passionate efforts to educate and guide Marin REALTORS on local issues. 

 

Next Generation Award: Lucas Meyer

Lucas Meyer is receiving this award for bringing to the table fresh ideas, new insights and perspectives and a wonderful “can do” attitude. Lucas served this year on the Budget and Finance Committee and for the last two years as a member of the Government Affairs Committee. In 2022, he begins his 3-year term as a Director on the Marin REALTORS Board. 

 

Good Neighbor Award: Kathleen Murphy & Michael Baranowski

This is the first time we have the honor to present this award.   The National Association of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award recognizes REALTORS® who have made an extraordinary impact on their community This award goes to a recipient or recipients who made a significant impact as a volunteer for a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Their charity is eligible to receive even more funds from NAR and we wish them good luck, if they choose to submit an application to NAR.  Marin REALTORS’  is giving a contribution in the amount of $500 issued to the U.S. 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. 

Kathleen Murphy and Michael Baranowski, husband and wife team, are receiving the inaugural Marin REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award for their work with various community organizations, namely the Street Chaplaincy. The Street Chaplaincy’s primary mission is to bring compassionate spiritual care to unsheltered and temporarily sheltered persons in Marin County and to build community between homeless persons and non-homeless faith communities and other organizations. Michael has personally rolled over 8000 Burritos since the start of the pandemic as part of their efforts.

 

REALTOR® of the Year: Mark Machado

The REALTOR® of the Year award is awarded for high principles, ethical standards, outstanding loyalty and devotion to the advancement and success of Marin REALTORS® through attendance at meetings, service on committees, Board of Directors, civic service, and so much more. Mark Machado is the 2021 Marin REALTORS® REALTOR® of the Year.

Mark Machado served a two-year term as a Board Director before moving up to President-elect in 2017 and as President of the Association in 2018. He served as a C.A.R. Director from 2017 thru 2019 For several years Mark served on a multitude of committees including Government Affairs, Local Candidate Recommendation Committee, Bylaws and Procedures PAG, Young Professionals Networking, Leadership Development and Nominating Committee, the Local Candidate Recommendation Committee and more.
